The Expat Explore chalet is situated in the village of Lauterbrunnen and is located at the foot of the mighty and world-famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau Mountains in the valley of 70 waterfalls. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe himself referred to the beauty of this valley in one of his poems. The Chalet is directly below the Staubbach Waterfall, centrally located for winter sports. The outstanding mountain rail and cable way network will take you directly to the skiing areas of Wengen/Männlichen or Mürren/Schilthorn.
At our Chalet we have an ATM cash machine, free practice ski lift (depending on snow levels), Internet, free ski bus and there is a shop and kiosk, open every day with an extensive and comprehensive range of goods. You can buy most essentials here, and there are fresh supplies of bread, milk, cheese, vegetables and fruits every day. Toiletries, sunglasses, Victorinox knives, postcards and stamps are just some of the other products on sale. On site we also have a restaurant with its own snow bar!
Chalet Rooms are mostly for 3 or 4 persons sharing, but some bigger rooms can comfortably sleep 6 persons (on request for groups). Double room upgrades are available for couples. Showers and toilets are on all floors and are cleaned twice daily. Rooms are modern, warm and spacious.
Continental Breakfast is served every morning. We will provide all food and materials so that you can also prepare your own packed lunch for the ski slopes.
Dinner: We have a fantastic value for money local restaurant onsite. There are also a lot of great restaurants, bars and clubs around the village when coming down from the ski slopes at the end of the skiing day, and these make great venues to exchange all the day’s ski stories.
